The book places at the center of the current debate about individuality different ways in which the Self is woven into a world where important social mutations take place, where each individual can share experiences with an increasing number of people they do not necessarily know, through writing, images, sounds and music. Perhaps more than just a desire to share, there is an imperative to expose the intimacy that encompasses the conformation of the identity. It takes over social networks and video sharing, making their authors' lives increasingly public, producing multiple meanings, giving new meanings to previous meanings.
