*Rain Dogs* by Indian photographer Rohit Chawla is an evocative photobook created from images of stray dogs roaming Goa’s deserted, monsoon-soaked beaches during the 2021 COVID lockdown. Through these quiet, atmospheric photographs, Chawla explores abandonment, survival, companionship and his own vulnerability during isolation. The images are accompanied by contributions from around thirty writers, and the book’s royalties support registered animal-welfare charities.
