THOUGH the Masons of old have left little besides their works of stone, from which we may obtain some dim vision of them in their daily lives ; yet there is accumulating a mass of evidence which, bit by bit, is enabling us, if not yet to reconstruct the history and organisation of the Craft, at least to formulate plausible theories, and to look forward to something more complete in the future.
