His Last Lover

About this book

Theirs was a match made in heaven... James Braedon's relationship with his father has never been an easy one. Yet he knows he cannot refuse to care for him after the frail man falls ill—nor can he escape his duty as the Viscount of his family's ruined estate. Life seems entirely bleak, until a charming young Frenchwoman arrives, offering to be the family housekeeper. The last thing James needs is a woman meddling in every aspect of his life. But soon, Marguerite's sunny disposition and warm laugh put James at ease, and it isn't long before the spirited beauty invades both his home and his heart. ...With a little help from Cupid. Despite losing her family in the French Revolution, Marguerite Voisson is convinced that life is more joy than sorrow—and her unique charm makes even James laugh again. As she uncovers pieces of his childhood in the burned-out ruins and shares them with him, she realizes that James holds the key to her own happiness. But how to convince him that family means more than heartache...and that she is meant to be his last lover, and his wife?
