The Holy Spirit in the World

About this book

The meaning of the Holy Spirit and discernment of its presence in the world have always generated lively debate. But with the emergence of theologies from diverse cultural contexts, particularly in Asia, the age-old debate has assumed a broader character. From her own experience of diverse ecclesial and cultural contexts, Kirsteen Kim is well-equipped to enter into many facets of this conversation. In this wise and exciting book, she shows how perspectives formed by gender, access to power, theology, social location, and culture offer new and rich insights into ancient questions. Highlighting both the vitality and tensions that characterize the present moment, she offers a fresh perspective on the way in which all God's people are moving under the Spirit's power to new wisdom, insights, and power.
