Joyride

About this book

JOY TO THE WORLD Christmas was not Dan Burke's favorite time of year. The neighborhood kids might call him Scrooge, but for the lonely cop the merry season only held painful memories. He'd always been on the outside looking in.... Until last year, when he'd been assigned to protect one Joy Jones-the key witness in a murder trial. She'd broken through his emotional barriers and then fled. Another desolate Christmas loomed ... until Joy arrived on his doorstep. She was in trouble and needed his help. A second chance with Joy is what he'd secretly dreamed of for Christmas, but could Dan survive having his heart broken again?
