Orphans Song

About this book

The startlingly beautiful, seven year old girl with a porcelain doll complexion and flowing, brunette hair stood on the wintry platform at Chicago's Union Station between her mother and nine year old brother, Kenneth, gripping their gloved hands, and watched the arriving passenger train from New York City cast billowing clouds of steam and screech deafening sounds as it chugged slowly past her preparing to stop.
