The composition of this tract was prompted by an increase in inflation and the practice of charging high interest. Here Rhegius addresses the question posed in Psalm 15 of who can stand upright before God. An answer to this question is given in the final verse of the Psalms "who do not lend money at interest." Rhegius discusses the topic not in an economic, but a more general theological and ethical sense. It is the first edition of this tract.
