The author deals with a single topic, the interpretation of the Passion. The work falls into three parts: Part I deals with a number of the leading conceptions involved -- Kingdom of God, Son of Man, Servant of Yahweh, sacrifice and the like. Part II is concerned with the Passion-sayings in the Gospels.
