About this book

"For two thousand years the Christian Church has been fighting a spiritual battle with secular forces or rival religions. ... Dr. Hardy's book is an effort to survey this story, which in its technical aspect is the history of missions or the story of the expansion of Christianity, and to place it in the context of general world history."--Dust jacket flap.
