Thomas Jefferson

About this book

“This book is pleasing because it is a smooth-flowing narrative stressing fairly all of the outstanding events in the career of America’s first great party leader.” “A brief, lucid, impartial résumé. The author combines enthusiasm for the merits of his subject, without which a good biography cannot be written, with a keenly critical judgment of Jefferson’s limitations.” “Long familiarity with American political history with its shifting perspective, has given Dr Muzzey an excellent background for this scholarly and useful work.” – The Book Review Digest
