As stated in the Preface, the purpose of this study is to open a line of inquiry regarding the intellectual and theological reflections of Anselm of Canterbury: to examine the possibility of influence from authors of the Patristic era, originally writing in Greek, whose works were available in the medieval West by the mid-eleventh to early twelfth centuries in Latin translation.
