A poetry of satire and celebration, anger and hope. While his world can be peopled with monsters, it is also filled with beauty and delight and a sense of the wonder of things. This is the poetry of post-modern man, facing the future with both optimism and fear, yet acutely aware of the heritage of the past and the unity of human experience. It celebrates human heroism and the natural world, its celebration sometimes offset by savage indignation.
