Architects of Peace

About this book

"Architects of Peace couples Collopy's stunning tritone photographs of the peacemakers with their own emotionally charged essays, more than half written expressly for this book. Collopy captures an extraordinary breadth of people, ranging from renowned political figures such as Nelson Mandela and Cesar Chavez, to artists such as Maya Lin and Robert Redford, to little-known peacemakers such as Bosnian diarist Nadja Halilbegovich and Oakland school teacher Ida Jackson.". "Architects of Peace presents figures who often sit at the very center of bitter political conflicts yet who have followed their convictions with tireless dedication. In seventy-five powerful statements they reveal both their personal experiences and their visions for the future."--BOOK JACKET.
