As mentioned in previous books [1-21], most cellular wireless systems operate in built-up areas where there is no direct line-of-sight (LOS) radio path between the terminals, the transmitter, and the receiver, and where, due to natural and man-made obstructions (hills, trees, buildings, towers), multidiffraction, multireflection, and multiscattering effects occur (see Figure 1.1).
