Beetle busters

About this book

The Asian longhorned beetle came to America from China, living in wood turned into shipping material. Infestations have erupted, killing hardword forests across the country. Scientists work to eradicate this invasive pest without harming the environment. This book about the tree-killing Asian longhorned beetle reveals how the help of everyday people, their neighborhoods, teams of beetle-sniffing dogs, and a nationwide effort from bug scientists to tree doctors are working to eradicate this invasive pest.
