About this book

Theme Restaurants invites you on a tour of the new styles of restaurants, and shows how they are designed and marketed. Within this book's pages, vivid photographs, detailed floor plans, and revealing text combine to explore the strategies behind successful hot spots - from the special effects simulating undersea immersion at Dive!, the music and memorabilia of Detroit's heyday at Motown Cafe, to the haunted-house aura of the Jekyll & Hyde Club. Additionally, the book includes information on the latest interior trends, from cigar rooms to recreations of classic restaurants from bygone eras. The unique visions of internationally renowned designers and architects such as Joe Meisel, Jordan Mozer, Adam D. Tihany, and scores of others are displayed in conceptual architecture which continues to transform the restaurant industry the world over.
